Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the 6th film in the Harry Potter series based on the book with the same name by J.K. Rowling. A 2009 fantasy-adventure film featuring wizard Harry and his friends in their quest to defeat Lord Voldemort. It is directed by David Yates, the director of the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Filming began on 24 September 2007, and the film was released in cinemas worldwide on 15 July 2009(July 16 here in the Philippines).
With my desire to watch the movie, I was able to reserve a seat through my officemate. We had watched the last full show at Cinema 2 in Ayala Cinema last Friday, July 17, 2009.
As we arrived at the Ayala Cinema, groups of people were there waiting for the movie. Below is the actual picture at the lobby of Ayala Cinema by that time.
By this time, the movie features a lot of humorous lines which makes the audience not to feel sleepy even if it's already late in the evening. The movie also focuses on Hermione showing some affection to Ron. Ginny also gets the chance to get closer with Harry. The love potion really gets my attention. Ron is obsessively saying how he is in love with Romilda Vane when he was able to eat the chocolates which is intended for Harry from Romilda Vane which is having the love potion. From the movie, I just want to have the Felix Felicis potion, luck potion(If someone would give me, I would definitely grab it right away). In the movie, lots of secrets have been revealed including the quest for the third horcrux. There is also a scene that would change Harry's adventurous life. To know more about the secrets and Harry's journey, you better watch the movie and experience how others feel about the movie. The movie runs for about 2 hours and 33 minutes. With the story and visual effects, you will forget the amount you had paid for the movie.
